Xenia of Andritsena (Theoxenia) is designed in 1959 by the architect of the team of Aris Konstantinidis to the Greek National Tourism Organization, Kati Diazsmas. At this hotel we distinguish the creative way in which the architect interpreted the tradition. The building follows the morphology of the land with the characteristic feature of the large stone wall that characterizes the building complex. Thus, the hotel, at a higher level than the road, dominates the area, combining the ground floor masonry with the apparent skeleton and the large openings of the rest of the rooms. It is designed according to the principles and philosophy of most of Xenia, ie public spaces such as the lobby, restaurant, etc. to accommodate more people than the capacity of the rooms, and the rooms and other spaces to respond to a holistic philosophy of tourist accommodation. Nowadays, Theoxenia is one of the few Xenia, which continues to operate, with a private address, and the unique , which retains to a large extent the original interior architectural design, with its original colors and furniture. The hotel volume consists of the common areas and the two rooms wings. The original hotel unit has a capacity of forty beds.

A few words about Xenia hotels

The modern architecture of Xenia, with the architect designer involved in the selection of the land, the standardization of the construction and the clarity in the use of the materials, was fertile to the architectural tradition so that all the buildings are in perfect harmony with the landscape, spreading to their locations as though they always existed in that place. The goal of the Greek architects when designing the new buildings was that the visitor felt that he was living in a place where the interior and exterior spaces were an organic unity, experiencing a unique experience.
